Jessica Oakes, Associate Professor of Bioengineering, presented at BioMaps (UPSaclay) an impressive amount of research work she carries out at the Northeastern University, Boston, in the Respiratory Innovation and Simulation Team.

It deals with airflow, transport and deposition in the airways, with applications in infant and adult dosimetry, the effects of e-cigarettes and wildfire exposure among others. It includes both experiments and simulations. Jessica Oakes attended the EDITH Virtual Human Twin workshop at INRIA Saclay.
