V|LF-Spiro3D at SFRMBM 2025: A Vibrant exchange of research and innovation
From March 24th to 27th, 2025, numerous partners from the V|LF-Spiro3D project took part in the SFRMBM 2025 congress held in the beautiful coastal town of Saint-Malo, France. The event was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the collaborative efforts of our consortium, with several intermediate results presented—ranging from advances in clinical protocols to insights from humanistic studies.
Throughout the congress, the V|LF-Spiro3D presence was strong and dynamic, reflecting the diversity and richness of the project. Researchers, clinicians, and engineers came together to share ideas, methodologies, and findings in an inspiring scientific environment.
Spotlight: Adrien Duwat Wins Best Poster Award !
A highlight of the conference was the recognition of Adrien Duwat, PhD student at UPSaclay, who was awarded Best Poster for his outstanding work titled:
“Normal lung strains in free-breathing, diaphragmatic and thoracic 3D magnetic resonance spirometry.”
Congratulations to Adrien for this well-deserved recognition!
A First Congress Experience: Quentin Herszkowicz’s journey
Another contribution came from Quentin Herszkowicz, PhD student involved in the V|LF-Spiro3D with Siemens, who attended his very first scientific congress:
“As part of my thesis, I was able to attend my very first congress at the end of March 2025: the SFRMBM. During this event, I was able to see the applications that were being made around MRI and I met and exchanged with a lot of people. I also had the opportunity to present a poster on poromechanical modeling of lung dynamics using MRI data. Thanks to Siemens and the V|LF-Spiro3D member for allowing me to attend this conference.”
The SFRMBM 2025 congress was more than just a conference—it was a moment of exchange, recognition, and inspiration. V|LF-Spiro3D is proud to have been part of it and looks forward to continuing this exciting journey with our partners.
