Siemens role in V|LF-Spiro3D
In Work Package 1 (WP1), Siemens is leading the deployment of 3D MR spirometry pulse sequences, especially on its clinical MRI systems, with newly-optimized k-space trajectories.
In Work Package 2 (WP2), Siemens is involved into new determinants and biomarkers using 3D MR spirometry. They are investigating anisotropic and hysteretic regional mechanical behaviour of the lung, going beyond standard flow-volume loops.
In Work Package 3 (WP3), Siemens is leading the development of acquisitions and reconstruction strategies for low-field MRI. They are pioneering undersampled acquisition strategies and exploring different pulse sequences to achieve dynamic 3D lung imaging at low field.
In Work Package 4 (WP4), Siemens is also working with cultural partners to create a compelling art-science experience using dynamic lung MRI data. This initiative aims to exhibit breathing in real-time, seamlessly blending science and art.
