Rethinking work travels

November 26, 2024 – Seminar 9 – Rethinking work travels

V|LF-Spiro3D project hosted its 9th dissemination seminar “Rethinking work travels”

The phenomenon of climate change is a well-established scientific fact. In order to achieve a net zero emissions target, it is necessary to reduce emissions in all areas, including those resulting from business, scientific, and work travels. Nevertheless, modifying entrenched habits and routines can prove challenging, and motivation may not be a sufficient catalyst in itself. In this seminar, Tim Schneider and Nicola Lorè will present their experiences as part of the European ‘LeCAKE Train‘ project, which addresses the ecological transition in the cultural sector. Adrien Duwat then present a report on the travel of the BioMaps MRI team during 2024, with a view to initiating a discussion on travel habits and potentially identifying measures to reduce the climate impact of such travel.
