Hi! I am Gaurav, a Medical Physics PhD student at University of Aberdeen, the AMT Centre, UK. I am pursuing my PhD under supervision of Dr Mathieu Sarracanie, Dr Najat Salameh and Dr Lionel Broche.
I have a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. I have an extensive background in designing analog electronics for different biomedical imaging modalities.
Currently, at Aberdeen, I have been tasked with designing RF electronics and electromagnetic coils for low field MRI to image lungs.
Low-field MRI presents a challenge, especially for lungs. However, that is what makes my projecting interesting and novel! The V|LF-Spiro3D consortium’s vision of providing more accessible MRI diagnosis to people worldwide motivated me to join the group.
I wish to work hard and gain instrumentation skills in the field of MRI. I aim to be a subject matter expert in the field of MRI hardware.
