What if a mirror could breathe with you?
As part of the development of Tout Passe, our art-science installation, we designed a new experiment to push breath detection further.
We tested our AI system’s ability to detect subtle temperature variations in the nostrils — a key step toward our ultimate goal: detecting apnea and creating a fully immersive experience where the mirror responds to the presence, rhythm, and absence of breath.
20 participants joined the experiment with curiosity and enthusiasm, helping us bring the artwork one step closer to its final form.
