Tilburg role in V|LF-Spiro3D

Tilburg

Tilburg is leading the Work Package 4 (WP4) where the main focus is on the medical anthropology and philosophy of 3D MR spirometry. Tilburg is actively engaging with practitioners and patients, conducting qualitative research, surveys, interviews, and observations to understand the impact of the technology from a philosophical and anthropological perspective. The aims is to assess the degree of objectification and alienation experienced by patients and practitioners with the technology.

Tilburg is working with various partners to explore the prospective aspect of 3D MR spirometry. Together with UPSaclay and other cultural organisation such as La métonymie and Forum des Images, they are using the dynamic dataset to create a behavioural art-science experience where visitors can see lungs breathing, hearts beating, and blood flowing through their bodies in real-time using translucent avatars. This task leverages the scientific, technological, and social outcomes of the project to create a rich and engaging exhibition for visitors, enhancing their understanding of ongoing interdisciplinary research and technological advances.
