IPP
The Institut Polytechnique de Paris is a public higher education and research institution that brings together five Grandes Écoles d’ingénieurs françaises: l’École Polytechnique, l’ENSTA Paris, l’ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis. Under the aegis of the Institute, they are pooling their two-hundred-year-old expertise in order to pursue two major objectives: the development of excellence training programmes and cutting-edge research. Thanks to the establishment of its five founding schools, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris is positioned as a leading teaching and research institution in France and internationally.
IPP role in V|LF-Spiro3D
In Work Package 2 (WP2), IPP is exploiting the richer dynamic information from the 32 phases of 3D MR spirometry to support data interpretation based on poro-mechanical modelling and associated data assimilation already developed for CT acquisitions during apnoeic respiratory phases. IPP will explore the increased dimensionality of 3D MR spirometry to extract original metrics that characterise the anisotropic and hysteretic regional mechanical behaviour of the lung beyond the flow-volume loops.
IPP will also collaborate in the development of critical data processing codes, addressing motion tracking, segmentation, and image registration. IPP is working with other partners to challenge and validate the 3D MR spirometry workflow to ensure its accuracy and reliability. IPP is actively involved in the presentation of 3D MR spirometry results using various visualisation formats to effectively communicate complex parameters.
In Work Package 4 (WP4), together with other partners, IPP will contribute to the dissemination and communication of 3D MR spirometry results as part of. In addition, IPP will play an active role in supporting UPSaclay, Tilburg and POLETP in the anthropological and social studies, and the art-science exhibition in the centre of Paris at the end of the project.
